Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DZDrive (“DZDrive”, “we”, “us”), a cloud storage service published by DataMindX, handles your information when you use the DZDrive website and the DZDrive mobile apps (together, the “Service”). We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address and the username you choose when you sign up.
  • Your content: the files and folders you upload, together with their names, sizes and modification dates, and the libraries you create.
  • Share links: the links you create, including the optional password and expiry date you set, and a view counter.
  • Starred items: the files you mark as starred.
  • Technical logs: standard server logs such as IP address, date and time of requests, requested URL, browser or app user agent and error information. These are used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not collect your contacts, location, photos outside of the files you choose to upload, or any payment information. The mobile apps only access files on your device when you explicitly pick them for upload, or save a file you choose to download.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
  • To store, display, sync and deliver your files to you, and to the people you share links with.
  • To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To contact you about important changes to the Service or this policy.

3. Where your data is stored

Your account data and files are stored on servers operated by DataMindX for the Service. Data is sent between your device and our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Your files are only visible to you, and to anyone you give a share link to. We may disclose information only if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.

5. No advertising or tracking

The Service contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not build profiles about you. The website stores a sign-in token and your display preferences (such as grid or list view) in your browser’s local storage. The mobile apps keep your sign-in token in the device’s secure storage. All scripts, styles and fonts of the website are served from our own server, so visiting it does not send your IP address to any third-party content-delivery network or font service.

6. Data retention

  • Account information and files are kept for as long as your account exists.
  • Files you delete go to the library’s trash until you empty it, or until the trash is cleaned automatically.
  • Technical logs are kept for a limited period, generally no longer than 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
  • When you delete your account, your account, libraries, files and share links are deleted from the active system. Residual copies in backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

7. Your rights and choices

You can, at any time:

  • access, download, rename, move or delete your files from the app or website;
  • revoke share links you created;
  • delete your account and all associated data from within the app (Account → Delete account), from the website (Account & settings → Delete account), or by following the steps on our account deletion page;
  • contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, token-based authentication and restricted server access. No online service can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so please keep your devices and sign-in codes safe.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the Service.
